What is Lumecca?

How does Lumecca work?
Lumecca treatment uses light that is converted into heat energy to target pigmentation, which is then either absorbed by the skin or flakes off in the following days after treatment. The IPL also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in a clearer and more radiant complexion.

Are there any side effects?
Lumecca is considered a safe treatment for all skin types and all parts of the body.
During your Lumecca treatment there will be a slight prickly sensation. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal and usually subside within an hour. Due to the light intensity of the treatment, we advise that you avoid sun exposure for a week, and wear SPF 50 going forward to protect your skin.
How quickly will I see results?
Results can be seen a few days after the first session and will continue to improve in the coming weeks. Results of vascular treatments can be seen within two weeks.
How many treatments will I need?
While many patients notice improvements in their complexion and skin clarity after just one session of Lumecca, a course of three treatments is often recommended for best results.
