Avi is an approachable, warm, and gentle clinician with nearly 20 years of experience in dentistry, known for her calm demeanor and empathetic approach that helps even the most anxious patients feel at ease. Her career began in hospital roles in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery across London, Swindon, and Worcester, where she developed a keen interest in oral cancers and surgical tooth removal, earning her Fellowship of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2000. She then expanded her expertise through General Practice in both the NHS and private sectors, specialising in managing dental-phobic patients, jaw disorders, and teeth grinding with compassionate, tailored care. Avi’s passion extends into facial aesthetics, where she offers advanced treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, skin boosters, and laser hair removal, combining her dental knowledge with aesthetic techniques to achieve subtle, natural results that enhance both function and appearance. She also provides care under intravenous sedation for patients requiring more complex or anxiety-provoking treatments. Pei-Pei is a highly respected consultant ENT and facial plastic surgeon renowned for her exceptional combination of medical expertise and artistic precision, offering personalised care in beauty therapy, skincare, cosmetic surgery, and complex ENT conditions. We are thrilled to introduce Dr John Riley, who joins Fourways Dental Clinic to expand our range of minor surgical procedures and provide patients with expert, high-quality care.
Dr Riley qualified as a doctor from St George's Hospital Medical School in 1998 before completing his specialist General Practice (GP) training in 2002. With over 25 years of medical experience, he has worked extensively across both the NHS and private healthcare sectors, developing a reputation for delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centred care.
Alongside his work in General Practice, Dr Riley currently works within the Urgent Treatment Centre at Sevenoaks Hospital, where he continues to provide high-quality care for patients requiring urgent medical attention.
For the past 15 years, Dr Riley has developed a particular passion for minor surgery, holding dedicated clinics within his previous GP practice and performing a wide range of minor surgical procedures. He is committed to maintaining the highest clinical standards and regularly updates his knowledge and practical skills through accredited training courses, professional development, and ongoing education.
His calm and reassuring approach helps patients feel comfortable throughout their treatment, and he is dedicated to ensuring every procedure is carried out with precision, care, and attention to detail.
With Dr Riley joining the Fourways team, we are delighted to now offer a wider range of minor surgical procedures, including:

Fergus qualified from King’s College London in 2015 with dual degrees in Dentistry (BDS) and Imaging Sciences (BSc), establishing a well-rounded and clinically informed approach to dental care, and further enhanced his expertise by earning the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF RCS Eng) in 2016. He joined Fourways Dental Surgery in October 2016, quickly building a loyal patient base thanks to his gentle chairside manner, kind personality, and clear communication, which put even nervous patients at ease. In 2017, Fergus began offering Invisalign Pro treatment, delivering excellent results for patients seeking discreet orthodontic solutions, and in 2019 he completed a Master’s degree with distinction in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Plymouth, enabling him to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for a wide range of restorative and cosmetic dental needs. He then returned to London, providing NHS and private dental care across Richmond Upon Thames, West Wickham, and Sevenoaks, developing a well-rounded, patient-focused approach. Committed to continuous learning, Milan is working towards Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons and is completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry, enabling him to offer advanced treatments to the highest standard. A true local, Vicky grew up in the surrounding area, was educated in Ightham and Sevenoaks, and completed her sixth form studies in Gravesend. Her connection to Fourways Dental Surgery runs deep—she first attended the practice as a child and returned in 2000 as a member of the clinical team, bringing a personal touch to her care. Splitting her time between two well-established practices for over 20 years, Vicky’s experience, reliability, and compassionate nature make her a trusted professional among patients and colleagues alike. Outside of work, she enjoys a rich and active lifestyle as an avid dog walker, horse rider, gardener, and also finds joy in cooking and attending the theatre, reflecting a warm and well-rounded personality that shines through in both her professional and personal life.

She qualified as a Dental Therapist and Hygienist in 2004 from the prestigious St. Bartholomew’s and Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry at Queen Mary University and brings nearly two decades of clinical experience, combining a gentle yet thorough approach with a passion for preventive care and oral health education. Committed to further developing her expertise, Lisa is currently undertaking a postgraduate diploma in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Edinburgh, reflecting her dedication to providing the highest standard of care for younger patients and supporting families with tailored oral health solutions. Maria Devine is a Consultant Oral Surgeon at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital in London. She qualified from Newcastle University in 2009 and gained extensive experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery before undertaking a NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship Specialty Training programme in Oral Surgery at King’s College London, during which she researched trigeminal nerve injuries and chronic post-surgical facial pain, publishing over 20 research papers and contributing to textbooks and online learning programmes. As an NHS Consultant, Maria is deeply involved in teaching and training the next generation of Oral Surgeons in the UK as well as postgraduate students from around the world. Passionate about all aspects of Oral Surgery, she has a calm, relaxed manner that puts patients at ease and sees both adults and children on referral for procedures including impacted wisdom tooth removal, simple and surgical extractions, apical surgery, soft tissue biopsy, frenectomy, exposure and bonding of impacted teeth for orthodontic treatment, removal of cysts and benign lesions, sinus lift and bone grafting, implant placements, and consultation for temporomandibular joint disorders, with sedation offered when required. Outside of work, Maria enjoys running, cooking, and exploring the Kent countryside with her two boys.

Having successfully completed the NEBDN dental nursing course, she combines strong theoretical knowledge with excellent practical skills and has recently taken on the role of Lead Nurse, where she mentors colleagues and ensures patient care standards remain exceptionally high. Outside of work, Wasta enjoys spending quality time with her husband, nurturing her growing collection of plants, and cooking traditional Nepalese dishes, sharing her cultural heritage with friends and family. Lucia achieved her Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing (QCF) with City & Guilds in 2019 and has dedicated almost 10 years to building a successful career within the dental profession. Throughout her career, she has gained valuable experience across both clinical and administrative roles, giving her a well-rounded understanding of patient care and the importance of delivering an exceptional experience at every stage of the patient journey.
Since joining Fourways Dental Clinic in 2024, Lucia has progressed to become both Head Receptionist and Head of Clinical Administration. In these roles, she leads the front-of-house and administrative teams, ensuring the practice runs efficiently while providing every patient with a warm, welcoming, and professional experience from their very first interaction. She is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and works closely with the clinical team to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care throughout their treatment journey.
Lucia understands that visiting the dentist can feel daunting for many people, and she takes great pride in creating a calm, friendly environment where patients feel listened to, reassured, and well informed. She believes that excellent communication and organisation are key to ensuring every patient has a positive and seamless experience.
Alongside her leadership roles, Lucia has developed a special interest in photography and videography, using her creativity to produce engaging content for the practice's social media platforms. She enjoys showcasing life behind the scenes at Fourways Dental Clinic, highlighting smile transformations, introducing members of the team, and creating educational content that helps patients feel more informed and comfortable before attending their appointments.
Lucia is committed to continually expanding her knowledge within the dental profession and takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Outside of work, Lucia enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, who keep her smiling and entertained. Family plays a huge part in her life, and she loves making memories with them whenever she can.
In her spare time, Lucia is also an avid gamer with a competitive edge. In 2020, she achieved a ranking within the top 5% of players worldwide in one of her favourite competitive games. The teamwork, focus, strategic thinking, and dedication required to compete at that level are qualities she brings into her professional life every day.

Dr Magdi Mikhael

Dr. Magdi Mikhael’s distinguished medical career began with his qualification from Cairo University Hospital Medical School in 1972. Following graduation, he was recruited into the Egyptian Army, where he served as a surgeon for five years. This early experience in a demanding and high-pressure environment helped shape his exceptional clinical skills and resilience.
In 1977, Dr. Mikhael moved to the UK to further his medical career. He specialised in Anaesthesia, achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 1982 and passing the prestigious European Diploma of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in 1985. His expertise was soon recognised, and in 1986 he became a Consultant Anaesthetist with the Royal Army Medical Corps, a role in which he combined clinical excellence with leadership in military healthcare.
Over the following years, Dr. Mikhael transitioned to civilian healthcare and became a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in Essex, where his skill and dedication led to his appointment as Director of the Department. His leadership ensured high standards of patient care and fostered professional development among his team. In 2006, he further expanded his expertise by acquiring a Fellowship in Pain Medicine, reflecting his deep commitment to advancing pain management techniques.
For over two decades, Dr. Mikhael has been a key figure in the field of sedation in dentistry, contributing extensively to the literature through several published articles in leading British dental and anaesthesia journals. His work has helped shape best practices in sedation, ensuring safer and more comfortable experiences for dental patients.
Dr. Mikhael has a special interest in paediatric anaesthetics, recognising the unique challenges and sensitivities involved in treating children. He is also passionate about pain management and advocates for minimal intervention approaches that prioritise effective relief with the least discomfort possible. Known among his peers for his kind, gentle manner and thoughtful approach, Dr. Mikhael combines decades of experience with a compassionate bedside presence, making him a trusted and respected figure in both medical and dental sedation communities

and a Clinical Lecturer in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute,UCL. She graduated
in Dentistry from Southern Medical University (China) in 2010, completed a Master’s in
Periodontology, and earned a PhD in Dental Biomaterials from Queen Mary University of
London in 2017. She joined the Eastman Dental Institute and Hospital in 2019 as an NIHR
Clinical Lecturer and Specialty Registrar, completing her specialist training and gaining
Membership in Periodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2023. Mei
provides evidence-based care for gum disease (periodontitis), peri-implant diseases, and
periodontal plastic surgery (gum grafting procedure), and accepts referrals for a wide range
of periodontal treatments. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, crafting, gardening, and
spending time with her family.
