These roles sparked Avi’s keen interest in oral cancers and oral surgery, particularly the surgical removal of teeth. Demonstrating her dedication to excellence, she earned her Fellowship of Dental Surgery from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2000. Following this, Avi gained valuable experience in General Practice within both the National Health Service and private sectors, broadening her clinical expertise and deepening her understanding of diverse patient needs. She has developed a special talent for managing dental-phobic patients and those suffering from jaw-related disorders and teeth grinding, offering compassionate care and effective solutions tailored to each individual.

We are delighted to have Dr. Ahmed El-Angbawi as part of the specialist team at Fourways. With a distinguished academic and clinical background, Ahmed brings a wealth of experience and expertise in orthodontics, offering advanced care to both children and adults. 

 

Ahmed began his orthodontic training at the University of Glasgow, where he also served as a clinical lecturer, combining hands-on treatment with academic teaching. His commitment to evidence-based dentistry led him to pursue rigorous research, and in 2013 he was awarded a PhD for his work on a clinical trial investigating the effectiveness of various orthodontic braces—research that continues to influence treatment standards today. 

 

Following this, Ahmed moved to London to further his clinical training. Over the course of three years at the Royal London Hospital, he managed and treated complex orthodontic cases, ultimately qualifying as a consultant in Orthodontics. This role honed his expertise in handling a wide range of cases and deepened his experience in both fixed appliance systems (metal and ceramic braces) and Invisalign treatments. 

 

Ahmed is particularly passionate about applying scientifically proven techniques to deliver precise, effective results, tailored to the needs and goals of each individual patient. He has an exceptional ability to plan complex cases with clarity and care, always keeping patient comfort and satisfaction at the forefront. Outside the clinic, Ahmed enjoys life in Sevenoaks with his wife and two children. When not practicing or lecturing, he values time with his family and embracing the balance between professional dedication and personal well-being. Milan completed his undergraduate dental training at the University of Manchester, where he laid a strong foundation for his career in dentistry. Following graduation, he spent a year working as an NHS foundation dentist in the South West of England. During this time, Milan distinguished himself through his clinical skills and dedication, culminating in winning the prestigious ‘Best Case Presentation’ award within the Somerset scheme—a testament to his commitment to excellence early in his career. 

 

After this successful year, Milan returned to London, where he has since provided both NHS and private dental care in several locations, including Richmond Upon Thames, West Wickham, and Sevenoaks. His diverse clinical experience in these areas has helped him develop a well-rounded approach to patient care, with a focus on tailoring treatments to individual needs and goals. 

 

Driven by a passion for continuous learning, Milan is currently working towards becoming a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons. This advanced qualification will further enhance his clinical knowledge and skills, ensuring he remains at the forefront of modern dental practice. Milan’s true passion lies in restoring teeth to their optimal function and aesthetics. Whether performing white fillings, onlays, crowns, veneers, root canal treatments, or Invisalign, he strives to deliver results that blend durability with natural beauty. He has a particular enthusiasm for full mouth makeovers, combining veneers, whitening, bonding, crowns, and other advanced cosmetic techniques to transform smiles and boost patient confidence. Outside of his professional life, Milan leads an active lifestyle, enjoying regular gym workouts and running 5km to stay fit and healthy. On weekends, he loves spending quality time with friends and family, often enjoying meals out and exploring new dining experiences. Vicky began her career in dentistry over three decades ago, qualifying as a Dental Nurse in 1985. Her passion for oral health and patient care led her to further her training, and in 1990, she completed her qualification in Dental Hygiene at University College Hospital Dental School in London. Since then, Vicky has built a long-standing and respected career, known for her thorough approach, gentle manner, and dedication to maintaining excellent oral health for her patients. 

 

A true local, Vicky grew up in the surrounding area and was educated in Ightham and Sevenoaks, before completing her sixth form studies in Gravesend. Her connection to Fourways Dental Surgery runs deep—she first attended the practice as a child and later returned in 2000, this time as a member of the clinical team. Her longstanding relationship with the practice and the community adds a unique personal touch to the care she provides. 

 

Vicky splits her time between two well-established practices, having worked in both for over 20 years. Her experience, reliability, and compassionate nature make her a trusted professional among patients and colleagues alike. Outside of work, Vicky enjoys a rich and active lifestyle. She is an avid dog walker, horse rider, and gardener, and also finds joy in cooking and attending the theatre. His commitment to continued professional development led him to undertake extensive postgraduate training, including advanced courses at the world-renowned Hornbrook Institute in Chicago, where he refined his skills under the guidance of leading experts in aesthetic dentistry. 

 

Over the years, Alex has been involved in more than 1,000 implant cases, ranging from straightforward to highly complex treatments. His wealth of experience and clinical precision allow him to deliver consistently high-quality outcomes tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Dr. Magdi Mikhael’s distinguished medical career began with his qualification from Cairo University Hospital Medical School in 1972. Following graduation, he was recruited into the Egyptian Army, where he served as a surgeon for five years. This early experience in a demanding and high-pressure environment helped shape his exceptional clinical skills and resilience. 

 

In 1977, Dr. Mikhael moved to the UK to further his medical career. He specialised in Anaesthesia, achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 1982 and passing the prestigious European Diploma of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in 1985. His expertise was soon recognised, and in 1986 he became a Consultant Anaesthetist with the Royal Army Medical Corps, a role in which he combined clinical excellence with leadership in military healthcare. 

 

Over the following years, Dr. Mikhael transitioned to civilian healthcare and became a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in Essex, where his skill and dedication led to his appointment as Director of the Department. His leadership ensured high standards of patient care and fostered professional development among his team. In 2006, he further expanded his expertise by acquiring a Fellowship in Pain Medicine, reflecting his deep commitment to advancing pain management techniques.
