Avi is the principal dentist at Fourways and has been the owner of the clinic since 2015. She is a highly skilled and experienced clinician with nearly 20 years’ experience. Avi is known for her approachable, gentle and warm approach, and she has a special interest in treating dental-phobic patients, making all of her patients feel at ease and comfortable on every visit.
She also has a keen interest in aesthetics and cosmetic dermatology. With a firm belief that aesthetics and injectables should be doctor-led rather than carried out by beauty therapists, she decided to introduce these procedures to Fourways.
Avi unwinds by cooking and dancing. She dances a variety of different styles and is currently learning Saidi Belly Dance. She also rides horses, and participates in equestrian and show jumping events.

Clinical profile
Avi has had a varied and rewarding career in dentistry, starting with hospital positions in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in London, Swindon and Worcester. This sparked Avi’s interest in oral cancers, as well as cultivating her flair for oral surgery, in particular the surgical removal of teeth. She then went on to obtain her Fellowship of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2002.
Her keen interest in surgery saw her working very closely with dermatologists in the surgical management of skin cancer too, and because of this, Avi became interested in cosmetic dermatology and the non-surgical management of scars, along with non-surgical aesthetic procedures. It was this experience and passion that led her to introduce these practices to Fourways.
She is proud to have been trained by some of the UK's leading practitioners, and to work alongside Fourways’ very own in-house Facial Plastic surgeon, Miss Pei-Pei Cheang, and Oral and Implantology surgeon, Mr Gerry Van Deventer.
